Danger Painters
BIOGRAPHY
Bob Boilen & Michael Barron have been writing and playing music together since they met in 1979 when along with Susan Mumford, Chris Thompson and Joe Menacker (who were later replaced by Lorenzo "Pee Wee" Jones and Terry Baker) they formed DC's Tiny Desk Unit. Danger Painters is the stain left behind after Tiny Desk Unit was left in the saucepan on the back of the stove until the gas was eventually turned off. The duo were joined in 2009 by William X Harvey on bass. Harvey's recent work includes a stint playing bass with the famed DC group Urban Verbs.
